Greetings fellow readers and writers! Allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Will Fullwood, and I’m a math and English teacher at a community college in North Carolina. You can also call me “Contraband,” the creator of The Contraband Wagon, where I’m changing the conversation on race. I host regular 2-hour live conversations on the subject of race. I post clips of these conversations on YouTube. I host a book club on Discord. I host live events in Central North Carolina featuring casual discussions on race. I am an antiracist activist.

has been encouraging me to start writing and posting my content on Substack. I think it’s time I take his advice. In these turbulent times destined to become even more tumultuous, I want to do my part to move us towards a future characterized by an intentional respect for human dignity, nature, and the Truth. I plan to use Substack as one of many tools in the creation of the future I want to see for all of us. You all are here, so I am here.

What you can expect to read from me are reflections on the snippets of my long form conversations on race released on YouTube. I’ll be giving you all the background thoughts that don’t necessarily make it into the conversation. Ultimately, I want people to walk away from these conversations and reflections feeling empowered, pensive, and hopeful. All of the content will be free.
